FVES Buddy Bench

The FVES PTA was happy to be able to fund the purchase of a "Buddy Bench" at the end of the 2015-2016 school year. This bench- located at the rear playground- is for students who don't have a friend ("buddy") to play with at recess or who are feeling lonely. They can have a seat on the bench and then other students will know that the child is looking for a playmate. Our hope is that this bench will reinforce and enhance the culture of inclusiveness at FVES so that no child feels alone, and all children are engaged in play/conversation with other students.
