Staff Appreciation Week 2026

Monday, May 4 - Friday, May 8

Celebrating the 85 adults who make Flower Valley Elementary a place where children learn, grow, and feel safe every day.

Staff Appreciation Week is one of the most joyful programs the PTA leads each year. It is a full week dedicated to showing gratitude to every teacher, specialist, paraeducator, office staff member, custodian, cafeteria worker, and support professional who helps our children thrive.

How Families Can Participate

Ways Families Can Join In

Every family can take part in a way that fits their time, budget, and comfort level. Even the smallest gesture makes a difference.

1

Help fund a surprise

Donate a $10 gift card for Mystery Gift Card Day so every staff member receives a small thank-you.

2

Join the week in person

Send a flower, homemade card, or handwritten note that lets a staff member know they are appreciated.

3

Volunteer or contribute

Help with coffee delivery, setup, treats, or shared supplies if you have time and capacity.

Impact

Every small act of appreciation helps strengthen school culture.

When families participate in Staff Appreciation Week, we create a ripple effect across the whole building. Staff feel energized and supported. Students see gratitude in action. Our school culture grows stronger. FVES becomes a place where educators want to stay.

Your involvement - whether it's a flower, a note, a gift card, or a volunteer shift - helps us celebrate the people who make FVES a warm, joyful, and inspiring place to learn.
